ABOUT CTC

Member of the Lindsay Park Sports Society

CTC

We have been instrumental in bringing major events to our city. For two back-to-back years, in 2011 and 2012 (Olympic Trials), Calgary was host to the Canadian Track and Field Championships.

The Calgary Track Council chose to utilize the Run, Jump, Throw program as an element of the Canadian Championships to introduce children to physical literacy, sport for life and fundamental movement skills. By connecting children and school teachers to the RJT program, the CTC is able to deliver a positive experience for children to get involved, get active and learn fundamental skills that would transcend to all land based sports.
